Teavana and Bathandbodyworks watched Foodcourt and Thegap disappear down the dark passageway. They both looked around, not sure what to do.

“I feel so helpless, just standing here,” Bathandbodyworks said.

“Me too,” said Teavana.

Teavana walked over and peered down into the hole again. Bathandbodyworks joined her. They both stared down at the remains of the now headless tiger-beastie.

Bathandbodyworks looked at Teavana. “Maybe we shouldn’t wait. Maybe we should go get Johnny now?”

“And leave them alone? What if they need us?” Teavana replied. “I’m waiting here until Foodcourt returns.”

“Well,” said Bathandbodyworks, looking around. “At least maybe we can look around a little.” She’d been anxious to explore the Museum, but with everything that had happened she’d almost forgotten.

“I suppose it wouldn’t hurt, as long as we stay close, and don’t wander too far. We don’t want to get into trouble ourselves.”

Bathandbodyworks smiled, her big, long face glowing. She pointed with a bony finger towards one of the archways. “Let’s go down that one!”

Teavana smiled, Bathandbodyworks’ excitement infecting her. “All right. I haven’t been down that one yet.”

Together the ladies hurried over to the archway. When they reached it they both slowed down as if by signal. Then, holding each other’s hands, they tiptoed into the dark recesses beyond.
